Short version: your files never leave your device.

Your files

Every tool on this site reads, rearranges and writes PDFs with JavaScript running in your browser tab (pdf.js and pdf-lib). Files are held in the tab’s memory and are gone when you close it. We have no server endpoint that accepts files.

The optional “Suggest an order” button

Only if you press it, the merger sends the file names, page counts and up to 300 characters of text from page 1 of each file to our server, which asks an AI model (via Vercel AI Gateway) to propose an order and bookmark names. The files themselves are never sent. We don’t store these requests. Don’t press it if file names or first lines are confidential.

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly counter of page views and referrers. It doesn’t see your files.

Stored on your device

The merger remembers your option choices (bookmarks, blank-page padding, image page size) in your browser’s localStorage so they are set next time. Nothing else is saved.
