Image to PDF, page by page
Each image becomes one page. Pick the page size to match what you’ll do with the file:
- A4 or Letter: for printing or forms that expect standard paper. Images are scaled to fit, centred, and turned landscape automatically when the photo is wider than tall. A white margin is optional.
- Fit image: the page takes the image’s own proportions, with no borders. Best for screenshots and on-screen reading.
If a phone photo comes out sideways, press ↻ on it before building. Phones store orientation in a separate tag that some apps ignore; the browser applies it when reading the image, so what you see in the list is what goes in.
Keep scans legible
Shoot in daylight, flat on a dark surface, filling the frame. A 12-megapixel phone photo of an A4 page is roughly 300 dpi: plenty for printing.
Questions
How do I merge JPGs into one PDF?
Drop your photos on the panel, drag them into order, choose A4, Letter or “Fit image”, and press the button. Each image becomes one page of a single PDF.
Will my photos lose quality?
No. JPEG files are embedded as they are, without re-compression. PNGs are embedded losslessly. WebP, GIF and BMP are converted to PNG first, since PDF can’t hold those formats directly.
Why is the PDF so large?
Because nothing is compressed: a 12-megapixel phone photo is typically 3–5 MB, and the PDF holds it at full size. If you need a small file, resize the photos before adding them.
Can I scan documents with my phone and combine them?
Yes. Take the photos with your camera app, then open this page on the phone and choose them from your gallery. Everything happens on the phone; nothing is uploaded.
Can I mix images and existing PDFs?
Yes, on the main Merge PDF tool. It accepts PDFs and images in the same list.
Does it read the text in my scans?
No. There is no text recognition (OCR); pages are pictures. Search inside the PDF won’t find words in the photos.
